These terms apply to the educational website, free assessments and reports. Separate private reader programs have their own participation terms.
Who these tools are for
The checkups are designed for adults 18 and older. Relationship checkups ask you to reflect on your current serious romantic relationship; individual checkups focus on your own behavior and experience. Participation is voluntary. You can choose “Not enough information” instead of rating a question, or stop at any time. Questions left unrated do not count toward your scores. If too few questions are rated, some scores or interpretations will not be available.
Educational use
This website and checkup provide educational relationship information, not psychotherapy, diagnosis, mental-health treatment, professional clinical assessment, or individualized clinical advice. They do not replace professional care or provide individualized clinical treatment. Using them does not establish a therapist-client relationship. No one monitors your responses. This is not an emergency service or a clinically validated assessment. Results are based only on your answers and do not establish facts about a partner.
Scores and recommendations
Scores summarize self-reported patterns. Editorial thresholds and recommendations are provisional. They do not predict relationship success, determine compatibility, or tell you whether to stay or leave. Consider qualified professional support when you need individualized guidance or when relationship concerns involve safety, abuse, coercion, or significant emotional distress.
No guarantees
Scores, interpretations, recommendations and educational materials do not guarantee relationship improvement or any particular outcome.
Safety and sharing
Do not complete or share this checkup if doing so puts you at risk. Consider the privacy of a shared device and the consequences of downloading or printing sensitive results.
Availability and revisions
The website, assessment, questions, scoring, recommendations, features and availability may be updated, modified or discontinued. We do not promise that any particular version will remain available indefinitely. Questions and scoring carry a version identifier so results can be interpreted in context. The current website, assessment results and available reflection practices are free. Future paid products and commerce will receive appropriate terms before activation.
Personal use and intellectual property
The website, assessment questions, scoring and interpretation materials, reports, written educational content, graphics, branding and other original materials are protected by copyright, trademark or other applicable laws where those protections apply. This does not claim ownership of ideas, facts, your responses or material that cannot legally be protected.
You may use the assessment and your own generated report for personal, noncommercial purposes. Without permission, you may not reproduce, scrape, systematically extract, republish, sell, commercially distribute or create commercial derivative assessment products from substantial portions of the site's proprietary content. This does not restrict uses permitted by law.
Acceptable use
Do not use this site unlawfully, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access or use automated or systematic methods to extract proprietary assessment or site content without permission, except where permitted by law.
Privacy
These Terms apply alongside the Privacy Policy, which explains how assessment answers, saved information, reports and contact messages are handled.
